MRI applications have been propelled by improved image quality facilitated by higher field strength magnets and the development of new techniques for evaluating specific portions of the complex structures in the brain.
People need compression ultrasonography to diagnose
their physical disorder which is happened for the deep thrombosis of the brain.
There is contrast material which is used in this system so there are side
effects and some limited availability which is happened in this test. It is
happened mainly due to the invasive nature of the test. It is responsible for
the non invasive test. Some non invasive methods are there to overcome the
problem.
The first one was
Impedance plethysmography. It was accurate for the vein thrombosis in
symptomatic patients. The test was proximal. It was less sensitive for the calf
veins which are thrombi confined. This test is required to do several times. It
is done almost five times over the two weeks. The patients who have normal test
result should undergo these tests for the actual diagnosis. There are different
studies which are done afterwards.
They are efficient of the
test procedure. It was further developed after reducing the number of tests
which are repeated to three and then it was reduced to two tests. It was done
with full safety assurance. It was emerged by the method which was
non-invasive. It was used for the evaluation of the patients. It was done for
the deep vein thrombosis which is clinically suspected. The test is popular and
available. This procedure can be used within a single spot in the groin. Compression ultrasonography is also
used in the mid-popliteal fossa. Here clear images can be obtained. The images
of the test are replicable.
There is the case of the
impedance plethysmography. It cannot evaluate the calf veins accurately so there
is the need of the serial compression ultrasonography testing. There are few
patients whose result of the compression ultrasonography will convert from the
normal case to the abnormal case. Compression
ultrasonography test should be repeated twice in all the patients who have
an initial normal test result. It is inconvenient for the patients because this
is laboured intensive and expensive.
