Around
sixty percent of all products being manufactured in the world every year is made
or comprised of metal. Man has taken advantage of its abundance and recyclable
properties to manufacture a myriad of products. From steel bars for bridges and
buildings, metal casing for vehicles, appliances and accessories, you can
barely find a product that does at least not have it as a component.
Because of
its abundance, people sometimes take for granted the service these products
provide. Wing and banner brackets are among the products that play important
roles in the society but lie unnoticed. These things are mainly used to hold
signage, like banners or billboards, so that the message expressed on them can
be seen properly even from afar.
Most of
the time, even the signs themselves that are hanged on the brackets are made of
metal. They serve an important role; they hold a lot of useful information like
directions, warnings, announcements and names of buildings as well as establishments.
They are intended to be used long term and so must be made of durable materials.
Signs and
wing brackets are mostly made of steel. It is a very strong and durable
material that can last for a very long time even when exposed to rain, extreme
heat and other weather elements. Unlike other metals that easily deteriorate
through exposure, this has a natural shield against corrosion because of its
carbon content. Its alloys that are extra-resistant to rust are used in
manufacturing stainless steel wing brackets.
Stainless steel wing brackets are designed with vertical and
horizontal thin-width panes. The vertical panel is attached to a wall or any
stable vertical surface to create a fixed support for the horizontal section
which is attached to the structure. It must counter the downward force exerted
by the hanging signage to reduce the effects of movement and force.
Most wing brackets
are attached using a stainless steel wing seal to further
strengthen the fixed support. In this way, the performance of the cantilever
component will be maximized by carrying even heavier loads. And since the wing
bracket is alloyed with passive metals, its surface will not react to oxidation
during rain, prolonging its life.
