The north eastern city of India which is also known as the paradise city, Jammu is the most beautiful city in the country. Situated on the banks of river tawi.Jammu has a lot of forts, landscapes, palaces and forests.Cheapest flights to Jammu are available from across the country.

The north eastern city of India which is also known as the paradise city, Jammu is the most beautiful city in the country. Situated on the banks of river tawi, the city has the maximum number of temples in the country and attracts a lot of religious tourists round the year. With a distance of about 600 Kilo meters from Delhi, the city has a moderate climate and sometimes it gets very chilly. Besides the temples, Jammu has a lot of forts, landscapes, palaces and forests.Cheapest flights to Jammu are available from across the country.

 With a population of over two million, the Jammu district occupies an area of about three thousand square kilo meters. The city is also known as Duggar. The city is dominated by Hindu population and has about sixty five per cent of its population as Hindus.

The main festivals celebrated in Jammu include-

1)      BahuMela (March-April and September-October)

2)      ChaitreChaudash (March-April)

3)      PurmandalMela (February-March)

4)      JhiriMela (October-November)

5)      Navratri Festival (Sept-Oct)

6)      Diwali

 

The city of temple has some of the most visited temples in India which include Purmandal, Vaishno Devi shrine,Raghunath Temple,  Peer Kho Cave,Shivkhori and  Bahu Fort.

For adventure and sports lovers the city offers endless activities which include golf, boat rides, skiing, trekking, water rafting, mountain cycling, paragliding, conventions, bird watching and horse riding.

The city is well connected via roadways, rail network and the airport which is known as satwari airport. Jammu flights are cheap.
