They are type of algae eating fish and also known as “Suckermouth Catfish” or “Pleco”. Since it is a shy fish who always loves to hide and it also grows quite large, Plescos should be put in large tanks. Sometimes you may face problems in maintaining you tropical fish tank due to some diseases. There are many tropical fish diseases with various symptoms. Some of the commonly seen tropical fish sicknesses are, Fish Lice or Fish Louse, Cotton-Wool Disease, Dropsy or Malawi Bloat, Fin Rot, Swimbladder Disorders and Pop-Eye Disease. Causes for these diseases can be the change of concentration of water, change in water temperature, microbiological infections and even poor diets.
