Thousands of years, before scientists and doctors understood what microbes were and how they cause illness, the health benefits of colloidal metals, particularly silver were suspected.The famous Greek physician, Hippocrates (who is considered by many as the father of modern medicine), wrote that silver could prevent disease and had the special healing properties. Silver sol  is clear silver particles dispersed in purified water. The "sol" is a chemical designation of a pure mineral permanently suspended is water where the mineral’s charge is transferred to the entire body of water. Solutions made with metallic silver are tested to be more potent than other silver preparations, such as those made with ionic silver. While these can be effective solutions, I prefer the new silver technology called silver sol, also called silver aquasol technology.

Colloidal silver is a liquid suspension of microscopic particles of silver4. In concentrations of 300 to 3000 parts per million (ppm), colloidal silver has been reported to kill 650 micro-organisms by disabling the enzyme that one-celled bacteria, viruses and fungi need for their oxygen metabolism5.
