Policy Development of OHSAS18001

OHSAS 18001 is desirable to develop methodology for designing and developing elements of OHSAS based on the guidelines as stipulated by the various document of standard OHSAS 18001. This document deals with the Guidelines and Methodology for designing and developing elements of OHSAS management system. The whole exercises of design and development of OHSAS can be executed in well-planned and structured manner.

An OHSAS Policy should clearly outline the OHSAS region to be addressed by the enterprise of organization and should be relevant to its activities, products and /or services. The policy may address very broad aspects of the enterprises activities, as per the nature of those activities.

The OHSAS 18001 policy must be appropriate to the individual enterprise. It may be as brief as one sentence or as long as 10 pages.
