Bangalore has grown as the IT capital of India over the years with all the major IT industries like Infosys, Wipro etc based in Bangalore. The city is also known as the youth city for its vibrant nightlife and endless pubs.

Bangalore has grown as the IT capital of India over the years with all the major IT industries like Infosys, Wipro etc based in Bangalore. The city is also known as the youth city for its vibrant nightlife and endless pubs. The city has a population of over six million and is the fifth largest growing city in the Asian continent. With the moderate climate round the year , the city receives an annual rainfall of about 969 mm. Bangalore is also home to some of the best universities and international schools in India. For its proximity to some of the best hill stations in the country like Mysore and Ooty, Bangalore has grown as a major tourist destination in the country.

 

Highlighting upon the economic statistics, Bangalore’s economy is worth over twelve billion dollars as its net district income, The city also has a growth rate of over 10 % making it the fastest growing cities in India. The major languages spoken in the city are Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and English. The city also has numerous Hindu temples.  The festivals celebrated in the city include the likes of Dasara, Deepavali etc. Mumbai to Bangalore flights have seen a rapid increase in the number of passengers and all the major airlines ply between the two routes. Almost all the major airlines have up to eight flights flying between the two cities. This is estimated to grow up to eleven flights by 2015.  Bangalore Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country.
