Ahmedabad is the capital city of Gujarat and it is located on the banks of river Sabarmati. Ahmedabad is the third largest growing city in the world after the two Chinese Chengdu and Chongquing.

Ahmedabad is the capital city of Gujarat and it is located on the banks of river Sabarmati. Ahmedabad is the third largest growing city in the world after the two Chinese Chengdu and Chongquing. The city is famous for its textile mills, Pharmaceutical firms and stock broking firms which are the key drivers of the city economy. With a population of over 3.5 million people, Ahmedabad has people from diverse cultures which include Punjabis, Marathi’s, Telugu, Tamil’s, Sindhi’s, Malayalis and Marwaris. Sardar Vallabh Bhai airport in Ahmedabad serves to around 4 million people annually and is the busiest airport in Gujarat. Ahmedabad is famous for its stock brokers with more then 50% of Indian stock markets being operated from the city. The city witnesses hot climate generally with the maximum temperature going as high as 50 degrees. Gujarati food is generally sweet and Ahmedabad has some of the best Gujarati restaurants in the country.
