BT Internet – What Does the Service Have to Offer?

As you might expect there are several BT Broadband packages you can choose from. But you need to have some idea of what you are looking for first: otherwise you could spend ages looking at things that don’t really suit your needs.

BT does have some advantages over its competitors in some cases though. For example no one else is currently offering free wi-fi like BT. This is a good add on bonus for BT Internet customers who are regularly out and about with a laptop or even a 3G phone. It makes life easier if you need a wi-fi connection from time to time, because you know you will always be able to access one.

BT Broadband Packages do vary quite a bit in various ways. The best broadband options with BT are often those that also throw in phone calls. Be sure to check out the different packages individually though, because they are not all the same. For instance some of them might offer free calls at the weekends and in the evenings. Alternatively some other packages may give you free calls all the time. It just depends on what package you want to opt for with BT internet, and of course how much you use your broadband and your phone.

Another thing to watch for is the usage allowance. This is applied monthly and it is stated in Gb. For example a package that gives you 40Gb per month usage has four times as much to offer you than a package with 10Gb per month. Remember too though that a 10Gb package could be more than enough for your needs if you only use the internet occasionally or for very basic tasks such as checking your emails. If you are regularly downloading, you’ll probably need a higher usage allowance to be able to do everything with BT internet that you want to do.

The heaviest users will be glad to know that some BT Broadband packages have unlimited usage applied to them. This basically means they have no limits on how much you will be able to download each month. If you enjoy your gaming or television you’ll be better off looking for one of these packages as they will provide you with everything you need. You will typically get a better home phone component of the package too, so make sure you make the most of it.
