Now
that it is spring all over us, it is time for some exploration and
adventure. You should find some of that in the reality, but there is
also a great opportunity to do that in the virtual realm in Celtic Lore: Sidhe Hills.
This game invites you to the world of fairies and magic, but everything
is not that nice and easy about it, because humans are not really
wellcome here...
One of the kinds of the hidden object levels is the one where you get the silhouettes instead of words.
In Celtic Lore: Sidhe Hills
you go to the magic land not because it is spring and you want some
adventure, but because your brother is in trouble. You are the one to
find and rescue him from an evil queen.
The
game focuses mostly on the hidden object levels. Those are devided into
two categories. One of them is a classic one where you are given a list
of items to find. But there is one twist to it. The items are scattered
across more than one location. You know which ones are not where you
are by the color of a word on the list.
Another
kind of the hidden object levels is the one where you get the
silhouettes instead of words. What makes these levels so challenging is
that most of the items are of very general shapes, like tubes or
squares.
So
that's when hints become very handy since many items are of those
shapes. Plus there is no clue as to the size of those items. When you
are to use those items, it is hard to figure out sometimes what will it
look like in your scene.
There
are also different mini-games along the way. Those are the ones that
you saw in many other games before, but that doesn't mean they are
boring. And even if they are, they are skippable.
The
graphics are all beautiful and create a perfect atmosphere of a fairy
tale with all the woods, sparkles, creatures etc. Some of the creatures
are a bit blurry, but in general the outward appearence of the game is
very eye-friendly.
The game has its pros and cons, so the trial version might be a great idea first.
