The Employer Nomination Scheme for Australia permits a foreign national to acquire a permanent visa to go for employment options. The Australian employer needs to nominate an overseas employer along with the presence of a valid occupation.

A Scheme which allows overseas applicant to get a permanent visa to work in Australia – it is “Employer Nomination Scheme.” Three facets play key rile here: An Australian Employer, a highly skilled employee and a qualified occupation.

The category is especially meant for employers from Australia intending to sponsor highly skilled overseas applicants who can be:

  • Overseas nationals with high skills
  • Temporary residents with high skills, at present in Australia

Please note that ENS (subclass 856) visa is for those who are at present working in Australia, while ENS (subclass 121) visa applies for overseas applicants.

Under this category, main applicant along with any dependant family member mentioned in the visa has the freedom to reside as PR in Australia. This would further grant them the freedom to:

  • Reside/ get employment in Australia on a permanent basis
  • Gain education in Australian university/college
  • Eligible to get Australian citizenship in the long run
