Babies bring joy to the whole family and much as everyone wants to carry the baby, fear of breaking the bundle of joy's bones is more than enough for all to just stare and make the baby laugh while inside the crib. Read this helpful article for tips on how to care for a newborn baby.
Nothing beats the feeling of excitement and fulfillment upon giving birth to a child. Such event is not only part of life's cycle, but rather also an indication of a new beginning of life as a parent and as a complete family. Being a mother is a rewarding experience but often, those who just brought a baby for the very first time in this world, advices from expert mothers are recommended.

Often, new babies sleep for at least sixteen hours daily. After being brought to this world, his nervous system is still developing, this means that after three months he'll sleep a lot longer and by the time he reaches the appropriate age, he will learn to sleep at least six hours straight during evenings. Bear in your mind to allow your little one to sleep when he wants to.

It is also important to exercise your baby's muscles through massage. This is a proven way to help strengthen his muscles and for him to learn how to control it. Massage also helps in developing his muscle coordination. To exercise your baby, simply let him lie down and gently fold his knees and elbow. Apart from developing his muscles, exercising every day also allows you and your baby to bond.

Diet is as important as sleep and exercise for your baby. Since your baby still cannot eat, he should be allowed to drink milk when he's hungry. Breast milk is best for babies but for mothers who cannot produce a lot of milk, baby formula can be given to the little one. Often, babies drink milk every few hours and you will know if he needs it because he will get cranky.

Babies also need to be bathed for hygiene. Yet after birth and after few months, he should not be bathed everyday for his skin might get dry. When bathing, use sponge for it is soft and cannot hurt his skin. Wash and clean thoroughly his skin especially in the diaper area. To avoid him feeling cold, wrap the other parts of his body while you work on some parts.

It is fun to take care of your new baby. Whenever you have questions, do not be hesitant to ask other mothers. Your doctor can also give you tips on how to care for your little one.
