I have this unit for 10 days now and total I am very proud of it. For its mainstream function, navigation, it is excellent. I had a Garmin 350 before this which I cherished however it was stolen from my car. I had a Magellan after that which was crap. The worth on this unit was nice ($247 - Amazon).
I selected it over the 1390T because I opted to not get bluetooth. It is the only difference between the units. I felt the bluetooth high quality would be poor based on other evaluations of bluetooth basically on GPS units. The primary cause was in the best way most people use bluetooth. In a typical day I'm out and in of my automotive often. I always need my bluetooth immediately in case I get a call. I don't all the time need my GPS. And since my previous unit was stolen, and theft of these items is a giant drawback in each single place, I maintain the unit hidden or generally remove it from the car. So if you are like me but you get this unit for bluetooth, you will want to stop and mount your gps everytime you get within the automobile whether you need it or not, simply to have blue tooth capability. When you forget and the cellphone rings, you don't have any bluetooth. So I bought a separate bluetooth speaker phone from Jabra (excellent unit which is all the time attached to my visor, pretty good quality, and all the time there after I need it. I saved about $seventy five by choosing the 1350T over the 1390T.

A few minor disappointments. The Lane Help feature works nice but is not accessible everywhere. I used it around NYC and it was helpful. I drove by means of Pennsylvania and upstate NY and it was not available. Advertising and marketing materials hypes this characteristic but they neglect to let you know this one point. However when it is accessible, it is a great feature. That brings me to traffic. Identical story here. I was driving by PA and hit a 1 hour visitors jam. No warnings from the site visitors characteristic because it was not obtainable in that area. Once I got to the Scranton, PA space the traffic alerts started working. It alerted me of a major visitors jam forward and it even rerouted my trip automatically. The reroute would have been a big addition in miles but would be value it to avoid the visitors, proper? I made a decision to ignore the re-route just to test the unit to see if the alert was correct and I was prepared to endure the traffic. As I drove my unique route, no site visitors anywhere. So had I listened to the traffic alert, I might have driven 50 miles out of my method for nothing. Bottom line is, do not let the site visitors function be a deal breaker for the unit you choose. But then once more, I obtained the 1350T for about the identical price as the 1350 identical unit without visitors). Updating the map was more difficult than it ought to have been. I think about myself a very technical particular person with computers and devices however the map replace didn't go easily and took me a quantity of tries. I might see where many people may have issue with this in the occasion that they try and update the map.
