Life Coach

Life Coaches guide clients and help them accomplish their goals and fulfill their dreams. They are skilled at helping their client’s search for solutions to problems. The Life Coach knows you have the solution to your problems.  The Life Coach will help you visualize that every problem contains a seed of opportunity.  They will also help you look at the problem from different points of view so you can gain more balance in your life.

Before hiring a Life Coach, you should be prepared to spend time getting to know them.  Look for coaches that offer a “get-to-know” coaching session.  Next, ask the coach for a complementary coaching session.  The complimentary coaching session will help you determine if coaching is right for you before you spend money.  If you believe the coaching is valuable, the next step is to proceed to coaching.

You should ask the coach if they are certified.  Certified coaches have spent additional time obtaining their certification.  As a result, they will have additional skills to help you deal with certain life situations.  Even if the Life Coach has numerous life experiences, it doesn’t mean they are qualified to coach you.  Do you prefer to be looked at by a board certified doctor or lawyer versus ones that are not?

You should also ask the coach what school they received their certification from because there are several accredited coaching schools that provide coaching certification.  The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) is the leading coaching organizations in the world.  They are an affiliate of the International Coach Federation. The ICF is responsible for setting and managing the standards for the coaching profession.
