Balloons can brighten up any party

If the title of this little piece hasn’t already given it away, what is one thing that no party should be without?  Yep!  You guessed it…balloons!  Balloons brighten the mood, set the atmosphere, and generally tell everyone that there’s a party going on.  No party should be without balloons.  They add color, flair, fun, and fancy to any occasion.  They are flexible enough to be used in a flamboyant manner or can add a bit of drama and sophistication to even a black tie event.  It all depends upon how the balloons are used, and the color scheme that has been chosen.

The most typical use for balloons is filling them with air and tying them to chairs, mailboxes, and tables.  Balloons are just fun, ask any child if they would like a balloon and you will likely get a resounding yes.  There is something about balloons that brings out the inner child in almost everyone.  While there are those few that do not like balloons, the majority of people tend to gravitate towards balloons as a way to express joy and excitement at any event.

There are very few occasions in which balloons are not a good idea.  The only thing that comes to mind would be a funeral.  However, some people’s last request is to make their funeral into a party.  They want people to remember them as fun, energetic, and full of life.  These are things that balloons will help bring to any occasion.

One thing that will add one more level of fun to a balloon filled party is to inflate them with helium.  Party goers of all ages will have a great time with the lighter than air balloon on the end of a string.  The young ones will likely lose a few to the sky, and most likely a couple of the ‘big’ kids (adults) will find a way to untie the gas filled balloons to inhale and give their best rendition of Alvin, Simon, or Theodore of Chipmunk fame.

Whether it is impressions of rodents or the simple joy of watching a balloon sore to the heavens, people of all ages look at balloons as a symbol of fun and joy, so the next time you plan a party, make sure you take the time to figure balloons into your planning list.

Chances are you will be able to find more than one or two places in your locality that specialize in party supplies.  These stores will likely have a large selection of balloons and party favors to decorate your party scene and help you build the atmosphere you desire.  Take the time to check the competition and see if they have anything that sticks in your mind.
