If a person has a bank account and needs to make a payment abroad, making it through a direct international bank transfer seems to be logical. Of course, people surely have heard that such transfers are pretty expensive, but some of them simply dislike finding other ways to send money, especially if there are an abundance of them and each of them needs careful consideration.

In some cases, making a direct international bank transfer is, probably, reasonable. For instance, if a sender needs to make a money transfer just once in a while and does not expect making it many times. At the same time, in some cases a decision to make a direct international bank transfer is not only one of the options, but the only one. This concerns mostly the cases if a worldwide bank transfer needs to be sent to developing or undeveloped countries.

If the developed countries have lots of alternative payment services to make an international bank transfer like PaidByCash, Moneybookers, PayPal and others, people from some countries are simply not provided with an option to use them.

For instance, in some countries, like Russian, Ukraine, WebMoney is a widely popular payment system. There is no need to open bank accounts to make an international transfer through this system as money can be withdrawn in some of WebMoney branches. However, it is not the cheapest variant and often people open bank account to make this procedure less costly. If it comes to making an international payment through WebMoney, many people living in developed counties still do not find it the best option due to various reasons. Sometimes they have to use it, though, as this is often more appreciated option than a direct international bank transfer.

Many of web-based businesses are looking for reliable payment systems to satisfy all members of the market. For instance, Odesk, the marketplace for online workteams, offers several payment methods, including PayPal, MoneyBookers, Payoneer and others. Making a direct international bank transfer to Ukraine, for instance, costs $30. Ukrainian can use alternative payment methods to get payments like MoneyBookers, but they need to have bank accounts for this.

One of the best alternatives to an international bank transfer existing today is Payoneer payment system. It does no takes such high fees as an international bank transfer eats and the processing period is short. This payment system can be used by the members of some of Payoneer partners, like oDesk, ROIRocket, MagicRock and others. This payment system has specially been created to provide people with more convenient way to pay and get paid. No bank account is needed to use Payoneer.
