The final issue that needs resolution increased drug testing. NFL owners want to increase the drug test because they want to make sure there are no players in the league that have a competitive advantage over other players because of steroids or other performance-enhancing substances. NFL players association does not increase drug testing because they feel it invades the privacy of the player.
There is something that plays an important role for millions of Americans who live in six months, year after year. It also plays a major role throughout the year for many companies across America. Last year alone, 106 million people have chosen to expose themselves to it in one day in February (GoP, for Alaska). Although it plays a major role in the lives of millions of Americans and businesses, this time next year may not be around. The thing I am talking about the National Football League or the NFL. How is something that plays an important role in many Americans live and businesses in danger of not being played next year? In an attempt to try to understand the problem and a solution for that, I think there are some problems that need a few different solutions.

2011 NFL season could not be, because the current agreement expires at the end of the year 2010 (the NFL collective bargaining explained). If a new collective agreement has been agreed before the start of the 2011 season, which begins in September in the block will inevitably happen, so there is no football will be played next year or another year, until a new collective agreement was agreed upon. There are two parts, which are currently in negotiations for an agreement on a new collective agreement. These two aspects are the owners of the NFL and NFL Players Association. These two parts can not get along with a couple of key issues, if you do not agree on all the actors of the block of the NFL Players Association NFL. This includes all NFL players who are signed to any NFL team. This does not mean that the championship goes out completely.

The two parties can not reach agreement on three issues. These problems are that the owners want to extend the season of a sixteen game regular season with four games in preparation for an eighteen regular season games with two preseason games, a rookie wage scale, and increased drug testing ( Devault, Christopher). These three questions require that all players of the Association of the NFL to give up something, while the owners do nothing but gain. That is why they so hard to try to reach agreement on these three things. But I think a solution is still possible, nevertheless, neither party really wants a work stoppage next year that it would hurt both sides. If these questions do not agree, I think they could have a negative effect not only in a few American lives, but companies and it is already unstable U.S. economy.

Both sides have valid points, but like the other two questions, I think a reasonable solution is possible. Because NFL players association did not increase the drug test because they feel it invades the privacy of the player, I suggest they increase drug testing, but in terms of all the tests, so that each player knows when they will be tested. I also suggest that these tests often enough that players could not take illegal drugs and stop taking time to pass drug tests planned. I think both parties would agree to that.

There are three actions that can be done to try to find a solution to this problem. However, all three of these approaches results in a lockout NFL. Action would be to do something that would result in both sides are unhappy, and a lockout to occur. The second action is for owners to try to get everything they want negotiations. Again, this will result in a lockout because the NFL players association would not accept a new collective agreement. The final measure that could be taken is the opposite of number two. NFL players association could try to get everything they want negotiations. Again, this will result in a lockout inevitable. My suggestion is very possible and should be adopted. In my proposal, both sides get a little and admit little. No side are a winner or loser. For me it's the only way to reach an agreement that both parties must respect in the community.

Finally, my proposal would provide a solution to the dispute between the owners of the NFL and the NFL Players Association. Some may think that there is not much they can do to try to help. But I think if NFL fans scream, write to the owners of the NFL and other influential people involved in this negotiation process, it can have a positive effect. Both sides in the controversy will be taken by hand and forget the people who basically fund the entire NFL, the fans. To me, if you remind these people how much the fans love to watch football, they might be able to see the bigger picture and reach a consensus.
