Aerial repairs needed in Kent after lightening strikes

A number of homes needed aerial repairs in Kent after they were struck by lightning, it has been revealed. Properties in Ashford, Gillingham, Tonbridge and Gravesend were affected by the storms.

According to reports on Kent Online, the lightening sparked blazes and a number of families were evacuated. A man and a woman had to be treated by medics as a result of inhaling smoke. Meanwhile, weather experts suggested up to 40mm may have fallen in the space of only a few hours.
