Peter Kay is no new name in the entertainment industry. Known for out-of-the-world wit coupled with jaw-dropping jokes and one-liners are a treat to watch. If you’ve been a big-time fan of such stand-up acts, give Kay a try.
Born in then Lancashire, now Greater Manchester, to an English father and mother of Northern Irish descent, Kay is the English funnyman with all signs of a complete jester. The Bolton boy is here to stay with his funny jokes and humor that may have no sense, but has been sensibly put up.

Peter Kay loves to and excels in what he is supposed and entitled to do-entertain masses. He’s been everywhere, from television shows to movies, onstage, released his own stand-up DVDs and even lent his exceptional voice to cartoon characters.

Kay has had a film career that spanned almost for a decade. His appearances in movies include ‘Going Off Big Time’, ’24 Hour Party People’, ‘The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse’, and ‘Roddy Smythe Investigates’. The funnyman has done voiceovers for ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ as PC McIntosh and for ‘Roary the Racing Car’ as the main character of Big Chris.

Peter Kay’s television works include Coronation Street, the most popular-That Peter Kay Thing, Linda Green, Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Doctor Who - Love & Monsters among many others.

The humorist has been even flashed his extreme talents in form of hit singles like Sleep, The Winner’s Song, along with the popular I Know Him So Well with his female counterpart Susan Boyle.

Apart from all these and taking time from his ever-busy schedule, Kay has managed to write out his life experiences in what is called as his ‘autobiographies’. He’s released two of his books until now titled as ‘The Sound of Laughter’ and ‘Saturday Night Peter’. Kay even claims that his third hardcover is in the making. Peter Kay fans should keep an eye out for that.

During his entertainment career, which spans for over 10 years, Kay has been awarded and conferred with prestigious titles by the industry to which he belongs to. The funnyman is listed as one of the 50 Funniest British comedians, named as the Comedian’s Comedian, voted as 100 Great Funny moments for one of his acts and noted as simply the best comedian in the Happy List of 2009.

Peter Kay fans who’ve already been to his shows, certainly wouldn’t regret being there, as they’d be laughing and enjoying their time all the way. If you’ve been away from ‘complete entertainment’ for quite sometime, now is the time to get yourself lose at one of Kay shows.
