You should not only avoid artificial sweeteners, but do your best to cut out all processed foods as they contain chemicals that can harm your body, as well as lack any real nutritional value.
It is confusing and many people are suffering because of it.  While they think they are making healthier choices, the choices they are making can actually be detrimental to their healthy blood glucose levels.  The pancreas is the organ responsible for producing insulin, but many foods and drinks labeled sugar free, low in sugar or “for diabetics” can actually interfere with proper functioning of the pancreas.

A healthy and normal functioning pancreas helps with the insulin process of the human body, but many of these foods and drinks can actually negatively affect it.  The reason is that they contain chemicals that not only interfere with the pancreas’ functionality, but can also over stimulate hunger and appetite in people, ruining healthy blood glucose levels!

As discussed in previous articles, it is important to be a label-reader and to be skeptical about many of the questionable claims on the labels of food and drink packaging.  Especially for people watching their healthy blood glucose levels, it is very wise to look at all food ingredients on the labels of food and drink products.  Many of these products claim to be healthy, natural, all natural, or specifically geared for people with issues relating to healthy blood glucose levels.  In fact, there is a class of manmade food additives that can be very dangerous to your healthy blood glucose levels.

For now, to maintain healthy blood glucose levels and to improve your general health, stay away from chemically processed or laden foods and foods and drinks that use artificial sweeteners to affect the taste of their product.  Keep eating low glycemic organic, naturally sweetened foods and drinks that the pancreas will love!  For example, eating an organic Granny Smith apple is a great source of nutrition and contains its own sweetener and plenty of beneficial fiber too.  It’s a great snack choice for those who desire to maintain healthy blood glucose levels and body weight.
