A Certified Veterinary Technician is a person who is responsible to educate the clients who come to the clinic or hospital regarding the care and medication procedures that need to be taken for keeping their pets healthy and active.

Certified Veterinary Technician [CVT]-A Certified Veterinary Technician is a person who is responsible to educate the clients who come to the clinic or hospital regarding the care and medication procedures that need to be taken for keeping their pets healthy and active. Individual who is a Certified Veterinary Technician is a lucrative career path which ensures the health and well being of animals.

 

Licensed Veterinary Technician [LVT]- A Licensed Veterinary Technician is personnel who undergo formal veterinary technology studies from an accredited educational institution and obtained the license from the licensing body.

 

Registered Veterinary Technician [RVT]- A Registered Veterinary Technician is personnel who undergo formal veterinary technology studies from an accredited educational institution. After finishing the course as an RVT the individual needs to meet all the guidelines framed by the American Veterinary Medical Association. The aspirant must also clear the examination conducted by state regulatory exam board and veterinary technician national exam board with not less than seventy percentage.

 

The demands of the veterinary technician: Duties and responsibilities of a veterinary technician are quite different from the duties and responsibilities performed by nurses who work under physicians. Veterinary technicians carry out a range of duties in a veterinary hospital or a clinic. Vet techs usually carry out advanced responsibilities and have greater job tasks than vet - assistants, who work at the entry-level or act as animal care givers. The type of duties taken up by the vet technicians depends on various factors. The duties and responsibilities of a veterinary technician differ from hospital to hospital or clinic to clinic, and also from one technician to another depending upon their experience and skill set of the vet technician, and ability to large patient number of patients in the hospital or clinic.
