If you are fresh out of University then you may be lost in a whirlwind of uncertainly right about now. Which career? Where to live? How do I pay off my astronomical student loan?! These may be a few unanswered questions floating around your subconscious. However, which career you should move into is probably the most important of these - after-all, the steps you take now are likely to define the rest of your professional life.

Endless Possibilities

Many new graduates move into health and safety jobs, enticed by the endless possibilities of the field. Now is not an easy time for job hunters, especially if you are just out of University and low on work experience. However, there are many specialist health and safety recruitment agencies out there that are keen to snap up highly-qualified graduates. Many offer prestigious graduate internship programmes organised through big name employers who offer internships and even provide the possibility of career placement.

Whilst it is true that many internships are designed simply as a way of obtaining "free labour" from graduates, there are others that are wholly worthwhile and could set you on the right track for a high-power position in the health and safety industry! Health and safety offers numerous job opportunities for those just out of University and many companies will have enough vision to see your potential beyond the lack of experience that you possess.

There are many recruitment agencies that you could use in your hunt for health and safety jobs, and the power of the Internet means you can track down numerous agencies willing to give you your first shot at a graduate job or internship. Bear in mind that not all are of the same calibre and that it is important to carry out a fair amount of online research before deciding which agency to use. You will be able to tell a lot about a company by its website, however, it is important to search for online reviews and past customer feedback in order to get unbiased viewpoints surrounding a company. This is your future - do your research and you'll go a long way!
