As the name might suggest a temporary fence is a short term barrier solution and one which is usually found around building or construction sites made from heavy duty metals, plastics and mesh and are designed to prevent either theft from the site owners’  or injury to the general public. These huge fences might provide the correct solution which adheres to health and safety regulations but they are not at all easy on the eye and sometimes, and for many reasons a more aesthetically pleasing solution is sought

White “Picket” Fences

There are a number of manufacturers who have recognised that there are more than simple industrial uses for temporary fencing and begun to develop and market more visually appealing versions which, whilst still providing a quick and easy barrier, are a little more publically acceptable that their heavy duty iron counterparts. Such uses might include garden surroundings, a barrier between the smoking and non-smoking outside area of a public house or restaurant and even around marquees when used for weddings.

A huge market is now geared towards making weddings more designer with theming and colourings increasingly prevalent for even the smallest of nuptials. The Country Cottage, Shabby Chic, French Chateau and Vintage themes which are hugely popular at the moment all lend themselves extremely well to a beautiful fence which can in turn be decorated to this theme with trailing ivy, vintage decorations or on-trend bunting. When erected around a marquee this can have a dramatic, and best of all cost effective result as well as providing a talking point for the guests.

Animal Enclosures

A further use for these more appealing fencing solutions is the country fair where prized animals are viewed and judged by both experts and members of the public. Country Fairs can often have a very specific etiquette attached to them and the surroundings are required to look “just so”. Decorative and more eye catching animal enclosures and pens, which can in turn be easily transported are becoming increasingly popular for these purposes.
