There are indeed many reputable providers who are more than capable of offering great website design services coupled with satisfactory SEO marketing. The two, after all, are integrally and intrinsically linked. There are, however, those whose core business is purely design. Whilst they are keen to expand their service portfolios, they lack the specific insider know how to justify adequate returns on SEO investments.

Social media creates further confusion and should not be mistaken for SEO marketing. It is certainly synonymous with a segment with of online marketing, but can only be truly effective when it is accompanied by a variety of other components. Viral marketing that the likes of Facebook and Twitter unlock is very relevant to SEO strategies, but does not constitute SEO strategies as a stand alone practice.
