The Aurora Borealis is caused by the sun’s energetic particles penetrating the Earth’s atmosphere. When this happens, a beautiful and colourful display is readily available for you to enjoy. Many of those who have been to our Abisko lodge have been deeply moved by this sight.

We also offer several day excursions too such as Piste skiing and ice climbing. If you do not want to see the Northern Lights in your lodge you can also witness them on the Abisko chairlift.
