2 ½ cups all purpose flour

3 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 ¾ cups sugar

¾ tsp. salt

2/3 cup shortening

1 ¼ cup of milk

2 eggs

1 ½ teaspoon vanilla

Techniques:

Preheat oven to 340°F. Put into a large bowl.

Sift together the baking powder, flour, salt and sugar

Add milk, shortening and vanilla. Beat well for 1 minute.

Add eggs and beat again until well mixed.

Fill the paper liners with the cupcake batter until 2/3 full.

Bake for 21 min

Cool for 5 min. in pans then remove and place on wire racks to cool completely.

Frost with your favorite frosting when cool.

Standard baking cups             Mixing bowls and utensils

 

Techniques:

Heat up oven to 360°F. Arrange the  muffin pan with liners. Sift the baking powder, flour and salt, cocoa and soda  together.

Mix the sugar and butter in a bowl. Beat the egg and stir in the vanilla. Add the mixture and the milk beat well and add the muffin cups about ¾ full.

Bake for 16 minutes.

Now, decorate tops with 1 swirl of chocolate butter cream icing, top with dark chocolate syrup, dark chocolate chips, crushed nuts and mini marshmallows. Enjoy the chewy, crunchy and deliciously baked Rocky Road Cupcakes!
