What is ‘tapping’?
Tapping is known as Thought Field Therapy and is related to the Callahan Techniques. It has relations to the Chinese approach of tapping on the specific meridian lines energy points.
The tapping moves the energy that is collected along these meridians on the points. The tapping process is a remedial process. The process causes the negative energy to leave the body and this then gives room to the positive energy.
They key is the Meridian
A meridian is a network that if it could be seen with the naked eye, would resemble a spaghetti junction.
Thought Field Therapy
Thought fields are created by a series of a singular event on one’s life and can often be related a traumatic event. It is almost as if there are flashback moments to events in the past that may have a negative effect. It may be a horrific traffic accident, a death or the breaking point in a marriage. If one thinks back to these events there is almost certainly a physiological reaction to the recall, which may be sweaty palms, palpitations or a cold sweat. These rare said to be changes in the Energy Centres. If those areas of your life can be accessed through tapping them then it will be helpful in overcoming them. The effect to some extent is similar to hypnotherapy. It is as if you are being taken back in time with a view to off loading the pain of the memory.
Treatment
This is undertaken by the therapist asking the patient to recall the area of concern that produces the negativity and then the good practitioner will be able to feel and enter the thought field that has been previously discussed. This is done by tapping on designated points on the hands, face and upper body. It is only in these areas that the tapping will be effective. By using TFT and algorithms the right fields are entered and the positivity will take over from the negativity. The process will remove the ‘bad fields and replace them with good fields’.
For some people this will seem like hypnotherapy but the practitioners of this are not hypnotherapists but controlled by their own association.
