All of us
grew up playing some form of activities and games, be it indoor or outdoor. Understandably,
they are part of growing up stuff that kids would normally engage in. These
activities and games are healthy activities which can enrich your kids’ lives
and at the same time prepare them ahead for their adulthood.
Many of us
would reminisce fondly of the activities and games we used to play as kids. The
amount of fun, joy, excitement and learning we got out of playing these
activities with family members and friends, at parties, in schools and going on
outings. The fun time frolicking in the open fields enjoying all sorts of games;
real or imaginable. It is undeniable that playing those games has a great
impact in our growing years and how it has help to shape who we are today. Thus,
a family that plays together stays together.
There are many
types of games we can indulge our kids in; educational, sports, leisure or games
we played at parties, indoor and outdoor games. There are also games for
different age groups.
Depending
on the age of your kids, if you choose games that are too simple they will get
bored easily. If the activities are too difficult, your kids might get
frustrated, fight, or cry and refused to participate in any of the activities
you might have planned for them. If it rains during your outdoor games, the
kids will be disappointed and if they are cooped up inside too long, they will
wear you down. Therefore be prepared, be creative and be ready for anything
whenever you planned activities for your kids so as to achieve the maximum
results of your activities and playtime.
The
educational games help to enhance and improve your kid’s mental and thinking
skills. For example, the alphabet game helps your kids to learn the alphabets
while further extension of the game can assist your kids to associate alphabet
with words thus increasing and improving their mastery of the vocabulary. The
repetitiveness of the game also helps to increase, enhance and reinforce your
kid’s memory power, visual perception of words and creativity.
The quiet
game or playtime game helps to stimulate your kid’s brain and responses while
at the same time keep your kid happy and occupied before your kid is due for
his bedtime or feeding time.
There are
many benefits in engaging your kids in activities and games early in their
childhood lives. Amongst them are enhancing your kids learning, mental and
development. Another benefit is that the games provide an opportunity for your
kids to expand their excess energy that your kids may need to release. Their
pent-up energy can be directed effectively through playing games. It also
provides an endless source of fun, enjoyment for your kids no matter their age
or where they are. By engaging your kids in these games you are also spending
quality time playing, educating and bonding with your kids.
There are
many ways to keep your kids occupied and activities and games is one of them.
Pick a variety of indoor and outdoor games, active and quiet games and
competitive and non-competitive games and you are set for some outrageously
good and fun time with your kids.
