Any pilot that would like to learn how to fly a jet warbird aircraft can have the opportunity at a training center where they will find a wide selection of courses to suit their goals and needs. One of the most popular jets is the L-39 Albatros.  The L-29 offers a more modern design than other jets in its class, blending Soviet-style simplicity with Czechoslovakian-style Western technology.  L-39 training is the perfect aircraft for aerobatic training, the jet transition course and upset recovery training.  Selecting the right training course is a personal decision but learning more about the curriculum can assist any pilot with the selection.

The Types of L-39 Training Courses Available for Pilot Flight Training

Three of the most popular jet warbird training courses are aerobatic training, the jet transition course and upset recovery training:

Aerobatics

Aerobatic training embodies many of the qualities in a course that a pilot is looking for including: developing their skill, a newfound sense of freedom and agility, and flying a fast aircraft.  Aerobatic training offers the pilot a chance to learn flashy aerial tricks including:

•Full Stall Series

•Aileron Rolls

•2 Point Rolls

•Loops

•Immelmans

•Cuban 8's

•Cloverleaf

•Barrel Rolls

It’s no surprise that this is one of the most popular training courses at the training center.  It is fun and the skills that are learned extend far beyond the tricks, in improved abilities on a practical level.

Jet Transition Training

This course is designed to teach piston pilots how to transition into jet aircraft flight.  This curriculum involves the basic fundamentals and the opportunity to fly the L-39 as often as the student likes.  Pilots are provided with two of the best flight instructors at the training center who teach at the student’s experience level and pace.  In this course, safety is priority and the instructors will provide students with the knowledge that they will require, to fly a jet aircraft with safety in mind.

Upset Recovery Training

This course does not use simulators or a piston aircraft to develop skills.  Upset recovery training is taught in an actual L-39.  This aircraft is perfect for demonstrating descending spirals and its high wing loading offers excellent stall demonstrations.  This course includes:
•Flight one ground school training

•Preflight brief for the first flight

•Flight two ground school

•Preflight brief for the second flight

•Post flight de-brief

Despite the seriousness of this course the instructors make the curriculum fun and work within each individual tolerance, by going farther or easing up, based on the unique needs and requirements of the student.

These L-39 training courses offer a variety of training styles to suit the interests and certification needs of the individual student.  Pilots that are unsure where to begin their training can ask an instructor at the Jet Warbird Training Center, who will guide them toward the correct training path.  For more information visit, jetwarbird.
