This guide explains all about the various calls packages from Sky including Freetime, as well as line rental costs and information to help you see whether this is the right provider for you or not.
Sky is mainly associated with the great digital television service that they provide, but they offer some affordable calls packages and line rental at the same time. These can even be bundled together with the television deals and broadband packages in order to create the ultimate package with Sky and help to save you even more money. This will also mean that you only receive one combined bill per month, making it much easier to manage. Plus, you only have one provider to deal with should any problems arise with the services.

There are two different calls packages from Sky, with Sky Talk Freetime being the cheapest option. This is suitable for people who use the phone during weekends and evenings only, as calls to UK landline numbers are included for free during these times. This option is mainly used by those who work full time and are not at home during the day. There are also affordable rates to UK mobile phone numbers and international landlines should you need to make a call to either of these too. If any problems arise, then Sky’s help centre is open around the clock and is free to call at any time, so you can get any issues sorted out within no time. The Freetime package does not cost anything on top of the £12.25 per month line rental fees, making it very affordable and great value for money.

Talk Unlimited is ideal for those who use the phone a lot more, during weekdays as well as evenings and weekends, perhaps because they work at home or are a stay at home parent. You will receive an unlimited amount of free calls to UK landline numbers at any time. It is also suitable for those who tend to make international calls too, as it includes free unlimited calls to international landlines within 20 different countries, such as Germany, Hungary, Austria, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Czech Republic, Greece, France, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the USA, Sweden, Spain, Norway, Switzerland and Italy. Phone calls to UK mobile phone numbers are also 20% cheaper than with the Freetime package. Calls to mobile phones in the USA and Canada are also included, so is ideal if you have loved ones or business contacts over there. The Unlimited package costs just £5 per month on top of the £12.25 monthly Sky line rental fee, still making it very affordable.

If you already have Sky Talk, you can save even more money if you take out line rental from them too. It is cheaper than BT’s line rental cost and also makes it easier to manage as you will have one combined bill from one provider, which can also be ideal when you have to sort out any problems that come up.
