Summer can bring worry to parents and educators due to the long holiday season.
Summer can bring worry to parents and educators due to the long holiday season. It might get your child academically behind during this particular time period. You can always encourage your child to learn new things during the summer.
For all parents, you can think of new ways to make children experience things. Rather than learn from a book or personal computer alone, you can encourage them to experience certain activities such as taking them out on educational trips such as to museums and maybe even parks and nature reserves. You can get them to bring along books and photographic guides in order for them to spot flowers, trees and wild animals. You can also ask your child if they are keen on attending an English Summer school for that matter if they are really interested.
Encouraging them to participate in an English language course is certainly a challenging thing to do but with the right school and the right course your child will be excellently groomed to perfection with the language. To learn English in the UK is certainly an added advantage since these schools offer you the best practices. If your child is between the ages of 16-18 you can also encourage them to find internships in subject areas that they are keen on pursuing later as a career. It can be English, photography, auto mechanics, any type of sports etc. These types of experiences are ideal for budding teenagers who are on the verge of attending college.
If you teenage son or daughter is working on something that they do not intend on doing for the rest of their lives for the sake of earning money, then you should encourage them to find something that excites them. You should also push them to think creatively as well as help everyone around as well. There are various schools offering summer work camps as well as mission projects where children are offered the opportunity of a trip for a week or a weekend helping members in certain communities while engaging in activities such as repairing homes, painting, etc. Also there are certain instances when the children are provided with summer home work from school. Find out and make them enjoy it with a creative plan to get them interested in doing the home work while enjoying the summer holidays.
