USMA - The United States Military Academy - first made legendary in movies and books, is an elite institution, celebrated historically and is a leading, progressive institution of higher learning, training and education. A proud institution having bedazzling alumni, invariably stalwarts and leaders of international prominence like Ulysses. S. Grant, Robert. E. Lee, Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and many more including two presidents, judges, explorers, Military leaders, state governors, federal officers and many more.

Because of its ability of imbibing superb leadership qualities in the graduating student officers or cadets as they are called, along with many other high-value virtues and blessed with a history and an alumnus nothing less than bedazzling, it goes without saying that it is indeed very competitive to be able to secure an admission into the USMA. Not everyone can walk-in to feel the "West-Point Experience".

West-Point still continues to deliver its promise of turning young men and women into tomorrow's heroes. It undertakes the onerous responsibility of developing these youngsters intellectually, physically, morally and ethically, while simultaneously building a highly charged, exciting and challenging career for the aspiring cadets, in the proud and courageous U.S Army. Young and aspiring candidates contemplating getting an admission into the USMA, get the best of the training and education programs in the nation or possibly the whole world. A fully funded, 4 year, well balanced education program with an emphasis on subjects like Military Strategy, mathematics, sciences and engineering along with a stipend of about 7000 USD given to the cadets to cover their living expenses, makes the program all the more attractive and literally gives public schools a run for their money.

Every year, The USMA recruits about 1500 cadets from all the parts of the United States, with possible association with every race, culture and community in the country into its fold. Given the diversity of the cadets it has to develop, it also calls for a very rich cultural experience for the cadets and a really intuitive understanding of co-existing races within the country.

one must, of course, meet the stringent requirements academically, intellectually and physically and also each candidate must obtain a nomination from an approved official like a congressman, a senator or other such official. Every candidate is scrutinized and evaluated on the basis of his academic credentials (GPAs and the like), a demonstrated leadership potential, sound mental aptitude and a satisfactory physical prowess demonstrated though a routine physical exam.
