Through the multitude of techniques and methods used in the realization of an indoor growing, there is a useful method that can be adopted improve the productivity of your plants: the so-called ScrOG.
First of all, before beginning the building of your scrog grow room, you have to get all the information about the plants you want to use. In fact, you have to organize the work having an idea of the expected growth so you can choose exactly the tools and the devices you need for scrogging.
The ScrOG method is very efficacious if you wnt to get the maximum yield from you indoor growing, and it can be installed even inside a small grow room.
In fact, it permits to optimize vertical space and the light usage. It consists in building a screen (an horizontal net) suspended between the plants and the lamps, so that they are trained and forced through the holes of the net, resulting an horizontal table of leaves and converting vertical in horizontal growth.
The ScrOG helps whom is using small grow rooms, because plants can be easily managed in horizontal way, and it avoids wastes of light setting all the plants at the same height from the light source.
There are two types of ScrOG: the modular one and the normal one.
With a modular ScrOG, there will be a single separated net for each plant, while with the normal one you can grow more than one plant in the same net.
Modular scrog is very easy to manage: you can add or remove plants in every moment and you can easily take off of your grow room one or more plants, for example for watering them. However, setting up a modular scrog is very difficult: you have to place nets on every single plant!
Normal scrog is easier to install but, when branches are interlaced to the net, you cannot move nor transplant them anymore!
So you will have to calculate the necessary space before positioning them.
Variations about this method could be the "BoG", or "box of green", where we will have to install a vertical screen, around the perimeters of the grow rooms, added to the horizontal one, or the "v-scrog", using a cylinder order.
So, the ScrOg method is useful to maximixe your growing production, because each plant can be raised over a wider area of the screen.
