The Nokia 6230i is counted amongst the classic business phones available in the market. Few of you must be surprised to know it considering the conventional and rather modest design of the handset. But the fact is that the 6230i indeed is one of the most practical business phones available in the market and integrates almost everything that you might require except for a QWERTY board. But what really separates it from rest of fancy business phones is its price. It is a really affordable mobile phone and that certainly is its USP.

The handset boasts of a 1.3 Megapixel camera that is nicely complemented by its 208x208 pixels display, sharpest display that can be found in any mobile phone @ 5935 pixels/cm2. Both these features have received big time overhaul by the manufacturers as the predecessor of the handset 6230, despite being immensely popular, was lagging far behind in these categories. After this ‘facelift’ the handset becomes completely new, again the software upgrade was the major factor.

So one can observe quite a few noticeable changes, all of them good! The expandable memory up to 512MB is useful and ensures that all the important data and files that you require can be carried around in your handset. When you need to switch off and relax for sometime the multimedia player is there that supports MP3, AAC & M4A amongst other media file formats. But for a business phone the connectivity factor is the most important one and the 6230i doesn’t disappoint on this count as well.

Powered by GPRS, EDGE and HSCSD data transfer systems, the 6230i gives a whole new definition to wireless communication in terms of speed (*Network matters!!) and still manages to remain in the conventional candybar mould. The Bluetooth & USB are really useful and hassle free options for local data transfers. The stereo FM is there to just pump up the fun quotient of the handset.

In its predecessor 6230 the web browser and e-mail client were really good and in the 6230i they have just got better with another option of Push-To-Talk. The e-mail client is JAVA based, as usual, and allows attachments to be sent with mails only, problem comes when one tries to send megapixel pix! Besides that one can assure you that everything is more than fine with the Nokia 6230i.
