There are certain terms that we use just like that without really caring to know their exact meanings. It is in the nature of the human beings, to remain satisfied with the vague meaning of the terms and if we have been able to somewhat gauge the meaning of a particular term in a particular context, we do not bother to spare time and get the meaning of the term checked out in a dictionary. This has almost become the go of the day. Apart from the people who are really interested in a particular language, the others are just satisfied with barely being able to talk.

This has almost become the go of the day. Apart from the people who are really interested in a particular language, the others are just satisfied with barely being able to talk.

In the face of this kind of a situation there are times when a word comes to be used frequently and even literally with the wrong usage. People get used to and also use the word in the wrong sense only. This is particularly the case with the terms in English. English is a language that is foreign to almost the whole world, apart from Great Britain. Being a global language it is used all over the world in all the major events. Therefore, it had become mandatory for the people all over the world to know the language somehow. In many countries of the world people have modified the language according to their own convenience. Thus the results are that we have country specific English like American English, Indian English, Spanish English etc.

When a language becomes so very widespread there are bound to be some sort of difference in the use of the terms and also in the meanings of the terms. As and when English started traversing the nations of the world it went on acquiring the modifications.

In this article I would like to concentrate on two such terms that seem to be synonymous and that are used very frequently yet actually they have two very distinct and different meanings. The terms are shopping and buying. People either make perplexed faces when asked what is the difference between the terms or give really funny answers. The answer is actually simple. Buying is to buy a thing. To choose a thing and then to pay for it in order to incur it is buying. Shopping is also misunderstood to have the same meaning. In reality shopping is something similar to analyzing the market. Atleast in technical terms. Shopping refers to scanning the market in terms of prices, trends, commodity etc. When you say you are going for shopping it is not exactly wrong. Because as such we scan the market and then only we buy. But when we pay for a thing we do not shop for it, instead we buy it.

As is the case with offline market, even online you can shop and buy. Almost all the necessities of life can be both shopped and bought online. Ecommerce is the go of the day as people have little time to spare. Thus most of the shopping and buying is done online. The ventures who have stores online vie to win more and more customers with their respective ecommerce solution. There are many stores who are not just into readymade ecommerce package. In order to make their mark online they prefer custom software development. Very soon it is expected that like ecommerce, m commerce would also come up.  What is best is that with hoards of offshore software development companies available online one can easily shop for the one which gives us the best solution at cheapest rate.
