Electricity Woes taking a Toll on the Californians!

Electricity, this wonderful and marvelous invention by Thomas Alva Edison has redefined the meaning of human civilization. It won’t be wrong to say that electricity is the backbone of the modern business world. Life is unimaginable without this very important source of energy. However it is sad that there are still many regions in the world that are devoid of this searchlight.

 Electricity generation is a matter of concern in many countries and places.  The most widespread and important source of electricity generation is water. The interesting fact is that though two third of the world is occupied by water bodies there are a number of such places that are not blessed with enough and appropriate water, at least not enough for the generation of this all important source of energy. In these places the governments buy electricity from other sources. However, there are such places also where the governments are so poor that they cannot afford to buy electricity from the other sources too.

 There are certain nations in the world where it is not possible to imagine that even they could face electricity problems. California one of the most well known regions of the United States of America is bearing the brunt of exorbitant electricity rates. In fact the electricity rates of this place stand among the highest in the region. The problem is however of a very different nature. There have been efforts from the government in order to give some sort of relief to the people of the place by cutting down the electricity costs but the same has not been possible for one reason or the other. The powers that are responsible for sale of electricity are not interested in selling power in California. The free powers that are the ones who are not under any government control are also not coming up with an able solution to the problem of premium pricing of electricity in the state of California. Though everyone is playing a blame game, blaming each other for the consequences many blame the market system itself for the woes of the people. Every bigwig is trying to rope in profits from the situation while the common man is suffering. The high rates of electricity is also leading to an increase in the cost of living of the people. Bearing the fact that US is one of the highest consumers of electricity, the high electricity rates are bound to have an ill effect.

 There are a number of things that tops the list in US. Ecommerce is also an example. Most of the Americans are satisfied shopping online. Whatever the reason, the way ecommerce is flourishing in the States; it is not the case with the other countries. This is the reason most of the ecommerce web site and the ecommerce solution are developed keeping the US citizens in mind.
