Some of the most important public places in our country are the schools in which our children attend. It is essential for both safety and educational reasons that children have a safe environment in which to learn and grow. Protecting public schools is therefore one of the primary tasks of our government; it’s not only an investment in our present, in the children and the buildings and the teachers of today, but also for tomorrow. By regulating school visitation and inspecting each person who enters these public buildings, the government can ensure a safer learning environment for our children.

In the past, school security has for the most part been overly lax. Now, however, with the advent of important new technological advances, school security is developing into an efficient, effective, and necessary routine. The ID scanner is one of the newest tools being used to wage the battle of keeping our schools safe. By incorporating advanced, yet affordable, technology, the ID scanner is upgrading the level of school security on an every day basis.

The ID scanner is a small and ergonomic device that comes in two functional formats. The first is a desktop model, a scanner that attaches to a computer with a simple USB cable. It’s the perfect tool for a school reception office. Every time a parent, visitor, or repairman wants to enter the school, they must pass through this office. Instead of just having the visitor sign in, school staff can use the ID scanner to verify the visitor’s ID card. The ID scanner can scan and authenticate a driver’s license in three seconds. Staff will know immediately whether an ID is a true or a false document; those persons attempting to use forged IDs can be quickly removed from the premises. The ID scanner is also an important tool in digitally recording who enters and exits the school.

The mobile ID scanner is the second model.  Security guards and police who patrol the campus can easily utilize these mobile ID scanners. These authorities can stop anyone who tries to enter the school unofficially and scan their IDs to identify them.

The ID scanner is thus the ideal user-friendly tool to improve the security policy at local schools. With this new tool, students can learn and spend time in a place that is well protected.
