IQ was designed to test intelligence, but does not represent your knowledge base. Knowledge is something very different. This is a particularly important fact when you consider what you hope to gain from you IQ (intelligence quotient).

This is a particularly important fact when you consider what you hope to gain from you IQ (intelligence quotient).

Here are the details -


IQ tests are built to test your intelligence skills, in particular WAIS based IQ tests. These do not include the ones that you will find online.

These tests (WAIS) measure these skills -

1. Working Memory
2. Mathematic Calculations
3. An Extensive & Use of Vocabulary
4. Processing Speed and Organizational Skills

Knowledge on the other hand is the things that you know. An example would be historical facts.

IQ is essentially a basic set of skills that will help you improve on and make better use of your knowledge base.
