What is the best Ferrari ever made?

Well, this might be a hotly debated topic and simply from a statistical and performance point of view the answer is pretty strait forward. Or is it? Yes the Enzo is phenomenal, but is it the best Ferrari ever? How can we determine the best Ferrari? Is it by horsepower? Maybe by affordability (car insurance costs, servicing costs)? Or could it be (and in my opinion it is) the car that best embodies the spirit of Ferrari? To save us some time I have narrowed it down to three cars, so let’s have a look.

The Ferrari Enzo

For obvious reason the Enzo is included. Ferrari took their Formula One car and technology and put it into a road going car. It embodies the spirit of the Ferrari racing team like no other Ferrari, ever, but best Ferrari ever built? In my opinion…no, it isn’t.

The 430

Easily one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever built and its performance isn’t too shabby either. It isn’t quite as fast as an Enzo (although no Ferrari is), but it has more of the legendary Ferrari essence about it. It looks like a Ferrari, it most definitely sounds like a Ferrari and it handles like a dream, so the best Ferrari ever? Uhm, no, although they are very popular, I don’t think the 430 is far off though, but the winner in my opinion is…

The 599 GTB Fiorano

It is quite possibly the most beautiful car ever made and it’s handling and acceleration are both quite astounding, it won’t be saving you any cash on your car insurance policy or fuel consumption, but if you own a 599 GTB Fiorano you can take solace in the fact that you are driving the GT of all GT’s.

Owning a Ferrari is very much reserved for the super wealthy and although most of us probably couldn’t afford to make the monthly car insurance payments we can all dream, after all, I am at this very moment driving down to Monte Carlo from St Tropez. In my head of course…
