Compares the merits of working in the network marketing industry as opposed to a traditional job and lists the prerequisites for success.
Are you stuck in a job that you hate, not making the kind of money you
want to or could it be that life just hasn’t yet turned out as you had hoped it
would.
I believe that there is an alternative, and that alternative is MLM, or
multi level marketing. I believe that you really can make an awful lot more
money than you are at the moment. Sure it takes work, it takes commitment,
desire, whatever it takes in fact, but the rewards are out there somewhere making
it, without doubt, well worth the effort.
If your careers advisor had told you there was an industry that produces
more millionaires than any other, one that pays linear income, where you get
paid for the work you do, leveraged income, where you get paid for the work
others do and residual income, where you continue to get paid for work you once
did.
Would you take notice?
Let me put it another way.
If that same advisor had told you there was an industry that gave you a
97% chance of leaving you broke, maybe even deeply in debt after 45 years of
toil, one that would leave you with a pension that is at the very best, two
thirds of what wasn’t enough in the first place and a gold watch if you are
very lucky. An industry that isn’t profit based but wage based, where you swap
time for money, (and there are only 168 hours in a week)
Which would you choose?
Let me tell you, the first scenario is the MLM industry, the
second is the Job industry.
If you read any book by a successful entrepreneur, when posing the
question about starting over, many will give testimony to the network marketing
industry. Maybe because of the low investment required when compared to a
traditional bricks and mortar business. Donald Trump & Robert Kiyosaki are
two such successes who endorse the industry whole heartedly.
The overheads of a traditional business, the entry cost of most
franchises make them prohibitive for a lot of people. The low investment
required for most MLM opportunities make them available to most, although this
can be a double edged sword.
The low investment means that some people treat their MLM business like
a hobby. For example, Success University a Dallas based network marketing
company had a million dollar turn over in year one and increased this to a four
million dollar turnover in year two. The fact that the investment for this
particular company is only $149.95 for premium membership means that some
people treat the opportunity like a $149.95 investment rather than being part
of a multi million dollar corporation.
You can’t ‘give it a go for six months’ and see if it works. The
industry works, full stop. There are too many people living the lifestyle that
most of us only dream about. You have to approach it as if you have invested
heavily into a major corporation and then it will pay you like a major
corporation.
At the end of the day therefore, it is down to the desire, motivation
and mindset of the individual as to whether an MLM opportunity is their path to
financial freedom. Most people under estimate the number of people that they
will have to speak to, others have to get over their fear of rejection and more
specifically, not taking the rejection that inevitably comes, personally.
Setting goals, having a vision, creating a dream board, developing
leadership skills and doing whatever it takes are all part and parcel of the
journey to success in MLM. It is down to the individual to decide ‘do or do
not, there is no try. Finally, remember
that there is no such thing as failure, only process. So, if you haven’t
succeeded yet, you are in process.
