Instead we are releasing harmful toxins into the Earth's atmosphere which is polluting it and leading it towards global warming. By Carbon footprints. When the previous power sources are used, they release harmful toxins into the Earth's atmosphere and lead to global warming. The last cause is deforestation. Carbon dioxide hurts the atmosphere but with lots of trees, the trees can convert the carbon dioxide into fresh air. If you understand these causes and take a certain amount of action you will be able to decrease carbon footprints and help the Earth's atmosphere and prevent the effects of global warming.

The environment is what gives us life and in order to repay it we should treat it with respect.  Instead we are releasing harmful toxins into the Earth's atmosphere which is polluting it and leading it towards global warming.  How you may ask?  By Carbon footprints.  Everyone leaves a mark on the atmosphere after a specific amount of time.  These carbon footprints must be minimized in order to save the environment and essentially ourselves since it works in a circular motion.  The following will help you understand how one leaves his or her carbon footprint.

The first leading cause of carbon footprints are the pollutants that we use.  Some of these pollutants include lead and carbon monoxide.  These pollutants do not only destroy the Earth and its atmosphere but also human beings directly.  These toxins can enter our bodies and leave us with severe diseases after some time.

The next cause is our consumption of power.  Many people take power consumption for granted by leaving the radio on all night or by turning on the lights even though it is not necessary.  Most power derives from nuclear plants which use fuel and coal, when alternative "green" options are available such as water generated power or wind generated power.  When the previous power sources are used, they release harmful toxins into the Earth's atmosphere and lead to global warming.  As long as you reduce the amount of energy that you are using or if you switch energy companies, you can help prevent the dangerous affects of global warming.

The third cause derives from the radiation that is released into the atmosphere from certain appliances and from military testing.  Appliances such as computers, televisions, microwaves and cellphones which are almost always turned on, emit this radiation into the atmosphere of the Earth and proves to be harmful.  If you lessen the use of these radioactive products you can help the Earth.  Turn off the computer at night and if you are not watching television, turn it off.

The last cause is deforestation.  As we cut down trees around the world, we leave a major carbon footprint and reduce our levels of oxygen.  Carbon dioxide hurts the atmosphere but with lots of trees, the trees can convert the carbon dioxide into fresh air. If we continue to cut down trees, there will be nothing left to convert this dangerous toxin into fresh oxygen.   Although the damage is already done by deforestation, by planting trees around our homes and in parks, this will help to reverse some of the effect that deforestation has taken on society.

If you understand these causes and take a certain amount of action you will be able to decrease carbon footprints and help the Earth's atmosphere and prevent the effects of global warming.  As a citizen of the world, you will have to protect the Earth's atmosphere.  Be grateful to the Earth since it is one part that helps to maintain life here, do not abuse it and let harmful toxins enter it.
