What are mobile websites?

Mobile websites are not websites that are mobile in the sense that they move around, even though that's kinda how it sounds! A mobile website is basically any site that you can access correctly from your mobile device, such as a phone, blackberry, etc. Sure, you could access any website from a laptop which is also considered mobile, but just because you are 1. Mobile 2. Looking at a website, doesn't automatically make that website mobile. Got it? Good, I hope so!

Why use a mobile site?

There are lots of reasons to start using mobile sites, and some of the best reasons are simply because you don't have to be trapped indoors, or at a certain location to visit them. You could be in line somewhere waiting, an elevator, in bed, so many different places, too numerous to name here.

I personally like to check gossip sites, and my e-mail web based accounts in the car, when I'm not driving actively of course! Some people I know like to do banking from their mobile, learn whatever sports team in their favorite sport, and so many other things.

I've also heard of people finding recipes from their very own kitchen while in the middle of cooking! As you can plainly see, the possibilities are virtually limitless so just jump on aboard and find the right web site now!

Which ones should I use?

Now that is not something I can tell you, simply because there are far too many but what I can tell you is that the easiest way to find out which ones there are available is to first simply try going to m. before the domain name. Instead of WWW, try M in it's place. It's that simple. If it's a big enough domain name as far as popularity, they may have already realized they need to service the mobile device community and set it up! If not, just google their domain + mobile and walah!

Good hunting!
