Charmed Book of Shadows
In the ever popular TV series Charmed, the Halliwell sisters discovered an ancient and dust covered book in their attic, The Book of Shadows.
The sisters open the book and begin to slowly read through the century’s old text they see a wood carving of three women gathered around a circle, casting spells. An elaborate incantation reads "Hear now the words of the witches. The secrets we hid in the night. The oldest of spells are invoked here. The great gift of magic is sought."
The sisters three soon discover that the Book of Shadows prophesises the arrival of three sisters who will become the most powerful in a long line of white witches. The charmed ones are destined to protect the innocent from the evil and destroy the evil and supernatural entities they encounter.
The Charmed Ones soon discover they can use The Book of Shadows to help them in their cause. The Charmed Book of Shadows contains the core rituals, magical practices and spells written by generations of witches and passed down to Warren line until finally reaching the Charmed Ones.
Charmed was one of the most popular shows ever to appear on the (now defunct) Warner Brothers network. It ran for 8 seasons from October 1998 to May 2006 for a total of 178 episodes.
The main characters in the show were Piper Halliwell (Holly Marie Combs, Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano), Prue Halliwell (Shannen Doherty), and later, Paige Matthews (Rose McGowan).
With the Charmed series being popular the world over, there has been great demand by some fans who wish to own their own replica Charmed Book of Shadows.
The cost to purchase a complete replica version is often too prohibitive for most fans and so many have chosen to create their own, but it is often difficult to create a professional looking replica.
Luckily there are now many templates and replica pages that can be downloaded to help create the authentic look and feel of the leather bound book and parchment paper style Book of Shadows and its ancient contents, please see below for more info…
