Some of the automobiles that are driven in Japan, Germany, and several other countries are considerably smaller. Every automobile that they drive is very small - but astonishingly they are not lacking any of the necessary characteristics and power that we love.

Possibly one of the greatest examples of the types of cars that you can find in these places is the renowned Smart car. This remarkably tiny automobile was constructed in 1993 by Daimler-Benz and the Swiss watchmaker - Swatch.

Together the two companies began a joint venture recognized as the Micro Compact Car AG - which was settled in Switzerland. These cars were developed with the engineering and quality we know from Mercedes - but with the exceptional design from Swatch.

Unite these two together and they created what was plainly known as the Smart City-Coupe - which was produced for the European urban public. Not only were they made to permit for better parking - but also to amend gas mileage.

In order to keep this unique little car dependable they established it with a “tridion” safety cell so that it could handle being hit by larger cars. The cell was produced with three levels of reinforced steel and had the ability to absorb the affect during a crash and to shield anyone within.

It did not take long for individuals to be impressed with the Smart and soon it became a worldwide phenomenon. By 2003 they began to make more models of the smart were produced and being sold in Europe and 36 other countries. You may even recieve an oppurtunity to see a few driving in the United States.
