Both the tapes were then removed from water and were shaken so that the excess moisture could be removed. Paper towels were used to dry the tape cartridges. Then in normal room conditions and temperature, both the VXA tapes were kept for 72 hours so that the moisture could completely dry off. After the tape cartridges were completely dried, they were put into the VXA drive for data retrieval. The data can completely recovered from both the VXA data tapes, and no error occurred during data retrieval.
