Narconon Arrowhead Helps Dallas Texas Residents Find Alcohol Rehab

Most residents from Dallas are aware that the city has a major alcohol problem but are unaware that drunk driving is the most frequently committed violent crime in our country.  In Texas, this crime is committed more frequently than in any other state. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 1,569 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in Texas in 2006, and more than 63, 500 people were injured.   The percentage of crashes which are alcohol-related in Texas (45%) is far above the national average (39%).Narconon Arrowhead is aware of this problem and has a program that handles all aspects of alcohol addiction with a success rate of over 70%.

Alcohol lowers a person’s inhibitions and ability to make correct judgments. It also causes a loss in motor control skills in an individual. The most common age group for driving after alcohol consumption is most common in those aged 21-34. This shows a dire need for alcohol education for our youth to prevent them from drinking and/or getting behind the wheel if having been drinking.

Some things parents can do to prevent their children from drinking are give your children an answer for a way out when offered a drink, i.e. I am trying out for the basketball team and need to stay in shape. Also establish a strong communication line with your children. Be the person they can come to with a problem rather than reacting and help them figure out a solution to that problem. You want to be open and honest when speaking with your children about alcohol addiction and communicate with them on a level which they can understand is the best way to help. This is of the utmost importance because younger individuals who try alcohol are more likely to experiment with drugs.

Dallas is a wonderful city to live but also has many opportunities for the youth to experiment with alcohol and/or drugs.
