Mobile phone companies continue to strive harder and faster to produce the best one-phone-fits-all model, providing high-speed internet, email, music, camera and good, old-fashioned calling in a sleek, sexy shell.
Mobile phone companies continue to strive harder and faster to produce the best one-phone-fits-all model, providing high-speed internet, email, music, camera and good, old-fashioned calling in a sleek, sexy shell.

However, it's not exactly an easy task. Mobile technology moves at a rapid rate. As one phone is unveiled as the best of the best, a new one comes along to knock it into second place. Therefore trying to find a phone that will stand the test of time and actually remain at the top of its game in the months to come is not that straightforward, however, the latest smartphone from Samsung might just fit the bill.

Always one to deliver stylish, attractive phones, the Samsung Jet manages to set a new record on the good-looking stakes. This super-slim smartphone is less than 12mm thick, it has a 3.1 inch high-res customisable touch screen with 16 million colours which remains clearly visible even under direct sunlight and it's shiny black casing speaks cool sophistication.

According to Samsung's marketing of the Jet, 'impatience is a virtue', so it has gone all out to create a smartphone that works at 800MHz, 200MHz faster than the new i-phone. Combine this with the TouchWix 2.0 interface and user experience goes through the roof.

It has HSDPA 3G technology, Microsoft Exchange PC synchronisation, 2GB internal memory and up to 16GB external capability. Samsung aimed high and they actually achieved it. If there was a smartphone Olympic, the Samsung Jet would win gold every time.

This phone also has a plethora of gadgets to keep you busy. It comes with a 5 mega pixel camera including dual power LED flash, four times digital zoom and anti-shake filter and AMOLED technology for clear-as-day images; a D1 bit-rate video recorder with DVD-like playback; a GPS navigation system including 3D maps and a MP3 player with built-in radio. You will be hard-pushed to get bored with that lot.

This phone really does live up to its name. It is fast, efficient and downright cool. It has more features than you can shake a stick at, and looks pretty damn hot too. Multi-tasking is this phones middle name, allowing you to call, browse and play tunes all at once all using its rapid 800MHz power and 3D user interface so you won't be left waiting, or wanting for that matter.

The Samsung Jet is exclusive to Vodafone and is available on contracts from £20 per month.
