research has confirmed that guys who are in constant demand sexually aren’t
necessarily that big on delivery! In a paper about to be published in the
journal American Naturalist researchers have deduced that the best
looking males (that is, those lucky sods who get their leg over at the drop of
a donut) are likely to produce far less of the creamy stuff!
How so? Ok,
pay attention, here comes the scientific bit…Apparently males have evolved to
seek out the optimum “sperm load” per encounter. The study claims that this
fluctuates according to how many sexual partners are available and what the
chances of copulating are. Males presented with multiple opportunities to mate
start producing less sperm each time they mate than those males presented with
fewer chances.
Simply put,
the more you have sex the more sperm your body will save ‘for later’.
Research suggests that this happens in many species, where the most
sought after males restrict their load so there’s enough to share around. How
thoughtful of nature, eh?
Research
focuses on the evolution of the heterosexual male. So what about their gay
brethren? Sorry lads, apparently it all works the same way! He may be gorgeous
but that doesn’t mean he’s full fat!
So
if you’d rather a shower than something akin to Chinese water torture you could
do a lot worse than giving that guy who never seems to pick up that second
glance! Stop being so picky and you could be literally singing in the
rain!
