The American economy has spun into an economic meltdown, including the largest drop in GDP growth since 1980. The constant blow to the nation’s consumers has drastically reduced spending power, causing depression worries. A widespread drop in housing prices, dips in the stock markets and insolvency by highly trusted banks have left people with no other option but to stop spending and start saving.

The American electorate is going to the polls tomorrow. As the hours pass, the battle for the position of ‘leader of the free world’ being contested by two high profile senators is being heatedly debated in every corner of the nation. The country has seen both the candidates campaigning hard for the last two years.

Déjà vu here we go again. Conveniently, the closure rule has been simplified removing the spectacle of a ‘elected citizen’ fighting with the Filibuster Rule. The difference here is that this spectacle occurred in the “House Of Representatives”. The strongest example of an oxymoron if they’re ever was one.

The United States tax code tries to accomplish two things at once: raising revenue, and redistributing wealth. I suggest that we simplify things by replacing it with two systems, each designed to do only one thing. One agency could raise revenue, and the other could make everything fair. I wrote this letter to offer the suggestion to the current House Speaker.

I have concluded of late that I could only consider myself a political independent if there is such a thing. I do not think I should be labeled Republican or Democrat, on the Left or on the Right or any other affiliation except to be a proud citizen of this United States and live by the principles on which this great nation was founded.
